Story:
A much hyped film, the story begins with a common man Srinivas Rao (kamal) who calls up the commissioner of police Eshwar Prasad (Venkatesh) and tells him that bombs have been planted across different locations of the city. He demands that four hardcore terrorists who have been part of the Mumbai blasts and other arsons in the country are to be released. Eshwar takes the help of task force specialist Arif Khan (ganesh) and tough cop Gautham in arranging for the whole process and also trying to locate the whereabouts of Srinivas. Just when things look set for the terrorists to go scot free, an interesting and surprising twist takes place much to the shock of many. What is that twist? that forms the essence of the story.
Presentation:
The director has come up with a message oriented theme and he has failed to achieve it in both the narrative and the presentation department. The saving grace was the dialogues, the script was weak and the screenplay was not gripping. Background score was good and hardly any song to talk about. Editing seems to have omitted few important scenes to build the momentum, costumes were natural and the art department did not have much to do. Kamal was regular but then his brilliance was missing, Venkatesh looked elegant but he had nothing much to offer given his character, Lakshmi was okay, Anuja was neat, Ganesh Venkatraman had a decent performance and made his presence felt, Poonam just disappeared. The others did their bit as required.
Conclusion:
The film happens to be a glorified remake of the super hit movie 'A Wednesday' in Bollywood but then it must be said that there can be no comparison made with the original. While the first half goes about with the plot, the second half deals with the twist but then the screenplay which plays a key role was missing in this completely. The only good thing about the film was the star power and the message from the film. However, the impact was not created to the required extent so it would be hard for this one to shine at the box office though it would have recovered its investment.
